This is a really great topic and I quite enjoyed reading about what scholars have to say about this issue, from both Eastern and Western perspectives. As an Indian, I clearly see the immense shift and assimilation of western practices, symbols and ideologies in almost every aspect of Indian society. I believe it is most prevalent in the Indian fashion industry, as the clothing directly portrays the Western image within traditional pieces like wedding dresses. I think you could make further reference to the modernization of fashion specifically within media and film. One example which comes to mind is the recent appointment of Kim Kardashian as the cover model for Vogue India. Another suggestion would be to perhaps rephrase some of your sentences, as I noticed many direct repeats from the beginning of the page in the middle and end. Aside from that, this is a compelling page.
