Dr. Elaine Alperthttp://violenceprevention.ubc.ca/resources/ubc-experts/elaine-j-alpert-md-mph-college-of-health-disciplines/elaine-alpert-bio-august-2012-2/ is an internationally respected expert in health professions education, policy development and community advocacy regarding family violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Dr. Alpert was a 2009 Fulbright Fellow and Visiting Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia College of Health Disciplines in Vancouver, BC, where she now serves as Adjunct Professor and Director of the Interpersonal Violence Prevention Program. She also is Senior Global Health Fellow at the Division of Global Health and Human Rights at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where she develops health professional curricula and theory-based public health initiatives to address sex trafficking.

Dr. Alpert Directs the UBC Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Connector, teaches IHHS410 and IHHS411 and wants to hear from you!
