Hi, I really admire your dedication and openness with this topic. I feel like a numerous amount of people wouldn’t realize or understand that the medicalization of beauty actually exists. To your point in “Problems with the Medicalization of Beauty”, the issues relate back to a societal practice of medicalization being normalized. It would be really interesting if you could further delve into the relationship of mental health and the medicalization of beauty. I think a lot has to be said in this area and a connection (or even correlation) may be established because more often than it should be expressed, beauty and body image play a significant role in mental health.
