I’m really interested to see where you go with the finished product of your article because I think that this topic is extremely relevant to the course material we’ve been exploring thus far. I completely agree that especially in the many forms of media we encounter today, like music videos, we see that black women are hypersexualized. To me, this just reinforces, rather than brings critical attention to the stereotypes implemented against black women. I think that your use of specific examples and adding the videos really enhances the point you’re trying to get across. It is also an effective means of grabbing your audience’s attention.
