Practical Suggestion

Hi,

I love your topic. Although it must have been super complex and very hard to organize, you have done so quite eloquently. You do well to carry the reader through a historical taxology of the self. While it is concise and informative, I would suggest elaborating more on alternative conceptions of the self beyond Western philosophy. I would agree that these are the standard models that navigate our modern perceptions of how we view ourselves, it would be interesting to parallel this comparatively to other philosophies Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. As I mentioned, I do believe that what you have written is very much relatable in a more modern context. There are some nuanced mistakes (but this is my understanding and I could be wrong), for instance, when you note that post-structuralism is a philosophy - is it not a theory part of Western philosophy? Again, I could be wrong, and such a mistake is minor, but in the grander scope of a wiki, it could make a difference. A great philosopher to read on for post-structuralism is Jean Baudrillard - who influenced the Matrix series. Another suggestion I might offer is to relate it to objectivity and how does perceptions of that relate to subjectivity: what sort of influence, consequences, or benefits it has had on this notion of the self.
