Hey! I find your Wiki very interesting, and I think it's a very important issue that needs to be discussed. Advertisements, and other forms of media, have included racist ideologies that sometimes go unnoticed and come across as natural. This raises issues for the ethnic minorities that are "attacked" or devalued. This reminds me of the TED Talk by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie called "The dangers of a single story." When groups such as ethnic minorities are represented a certain way, it may lead people to assume that the way they are being represented is accurate, though it may be far from the truth. A suggestion I have would be to include the actual advertisements that caused all the controversies, in the form of images, so your readers can physically see the racist ads. Images will also help to relieve your page of its text-heaviness. Overall, great discussion. Good luck with your editing!

I think this is a very important topic due to the vast dissemination of media in the world which we currently life. Images the media constructs inherently impact individuals perception of themselves. The dominant use of White actors in the advertisements, combined with an upper-class image creates unrealistic representations of the population that do not indicate the true diversity of the population in demographic, cultural or economic terms. I think your page could benefit from some images of advertisements in order to have some visuals to indicate the extent of the problem and highlight some of the issues and themes you've spoken about. It could also be of use to highlight some advertisements that have shown a more diverse cultural group such as the dove advertisement with women of many different ethnicities to show the use of this more faithful form of advertisement.

I enjoyed reading your wiki. It is a very relevant topic today and I like how you included the examples of Dove and H&M which happened recently. A suggestion is to add the actual image/video onto your wiki so readers can see the images that caused controversy. This would really help to support your analysis and give readers a better understanding. You do a good job making use of subheadings which makes your format very clear to read. I look forward to reading the backlash and possible solutions section of your wiki when it is completed!
