Plantation

From UBC Wiki

all I remember about it is the old days when the barns paint had faded from bright red to a murmmered brown and the servants lived out back, far away from the house, in little shacks that were falling down faster than they could be repaired. and I remember always hanging back there when pa wasn't around, cause I'd get in trouble if he saw me, and always looking for Lacy, that pretty girl with eyes as dark as the sky at night when no moon was there to light it, and feet so dirty, like a pig that had just rolled in it's pen for one glorious afternoon. I looked for her because she was a cheerful face out in the lonely expanse of field and the emptiness of the house where I lived, mostly just with my ma cause pa seemed to be gone on what he called "business" for what felt like weeks on end.
