Paving
Roadbuilding
Road building is an essential part of transportation across all industries and especially the product manufacturing industry. Road building involves planning, designing, installing drainage and layered gravel placement on the road bed. Later, the road is paved using either asphalt or concrete. [1] Workers in road building can spend significant time paving and surrounded by asphalt. Asphalt paving is one of the most highest risk jobs in the construction industry. Asphalt workers are also in close proximity to heavy machinery and equipment [2] . Despite the hazards of asphalt inhalation, over 80% of the fatalities in road building and bridge construction sector were attributed to vehicle and equipment-related incidents. [3]
