General Workshops

Our hands-on workshops will help you navigate the world of information available to you through UBC Library?

We offer a number of workshops throughout the year, ranging from library orientations to database-specific tutorials to in-depth workshops in the Graduate Students Workshop series including RefWorks, Current Awareness, Theses and Dissertations, and much more.

Everyone is welcome to attend public workshops listed on the UBC Library Instruction Calendar. Register (for free), from the workshop description in the calendar, or view a list of upcoming workshops in the right-hand column of this page.

Custom Workshops for Specific Courses and Programmes

Koerner librarians offer hands-on, virtual and lecture style workshops designed to provide your students with the tools necessary to successfully research for their course assignments. In collaboration with your Subject Librarian, a workshop can be tailored to address the specific requirements of the assignment, in addition to building the critical literacy skills that will prepare them for future degree work. Contact your Humanities and Social Sciences Subject Librarian to request a workshop.
