- Mondays (8:30AM - 11:00AM) as Independent Study/Reading days
Lessons
- Rubric/model inquiry (of an inquiry project) on the first day so we know what is expected (What kinds of inquiry can I do in English?)
- Group discussions: begin the class with a group discussion of the reading?
- Have time to work on our unit & lesson plans to incorporate our independent inquiries
- Collaborative unit & lesson plan workshops: post resources online to share with others
- Present lesson activities in class for feedback/share ideas
Assignments
- Inquiry Project: "Sample Inquiry" appears very demanding to do while simultaneously preparing to teach our classes during our long practicum - what are some examples of sample inquiries that are more achievable?
- Written Component: None.
- Come up with inquiry project/topic/design in class, and conduct ongoing inquiry work during our practicums but present Inquiry Project in Inquiry III
