Group 3 (Team AABC)

Allison, Ashlee, Blair, Clayton

Team AABC proposes the following amendments to the course syllabus:

Suggestion The First (schedule amendment)

Independent study days are recommended, preferably on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. We would be able to schedule meetings with experts in our area of study (SAs, FAs, practicum school librarians or admin, etc.) in the mornings on these days since we don't have class immediately following EDUC 451.

Suggestion The Second (regarding readings)

We request that readings be supplementary.

Suggestion The Third (on being verbose)

Being highly verbose individuals, we suggest an emphasis on the oral component of the inquiry seminar over the written component.

Suggestion the Fourth (in support of Group The First)

We recommend a combination of this and the next inquiry class as a long-term inquiry project. This inquiry seminar could focus on developing and writing the inquiry proposal for research during the practicum. The summer inquiry would be about reflecting on the research from the long practicum and finalizing the inquiry project.

Suggestion the Fifth

We support both individual and group inquiry since some individuals might want to inquire upon a subject that no others do.
