TO TURN ON

1.      Complete a visual inspection before turning on the unit. Check the following:

a.      Main water valve is in the open position (note that this water valve should NOT be closed - keep it in the open position unless conducting maintenance).

b.      Filter looks in good condition.

c.       All drainage valves are closed.

2.      Push the "water" switch on the still (push on the right hand side). The switch will light up once turned on. Wait for water to begin flowing into the sink from the overflow.

Note: water will flow continuously through this tube throughout operation.

Note: Flowmeter is set to approximately 11-12 Gal/Hr - DO NOT ADJUST!

3.      Once water is flowing, push the "operate" switch on the still (push on the right hand side). The switch will light up once turned on. Wait for the heating coil to warm up.

4.      After approximately 10 minutes, distilled water will begin to flow from the still into the glass storage carboy. Once you have confirmed that the still is producing, you can leave while the storage carboy fills.

TO TURN OFF

1.      To shut the still off, push the black "OFF" switch.

Note: the unit will automatically shut off once it fills up.

However, the unit must also be turned off before using it again. Please shut off the still manually after use.
