providing reference with blogs

we still don't have anything on how to provide virtual reference service with blogs. To be honest I'm not entirely sure how that would be done, but it is mentioned in our intro so we should have a section on how that is done.

Should we keep or delete the info box on the right of the screen? I'm inclined to delete it.

I agree. i deleted it. if lea and seanna strongly disagree then i can put it back.

Again, I'm fine with this! :)

citing wikipedia

I don't want to remove the quote but can anyone find a better citation than Wikipedia. There is something in me(the former T.A. who has taken marks off assignments for citing Wikipedia) that just will never be comfortable citing Wikipedia.

DanaOuellette20:23, 27 July 2011

I think it's totally appropriate to cite Wikipedia in a wiki, especially when the content is so straightforward. I almost didn't cite that bit at all, but in the end I decided to play it safe.

Seanna and Lea, what do you think?

if you guys are comfortable with it then i am. I guess it isn't an academic paper. As long as we aren't acting like it's authoritative research. It's just a place that offers a definition that we happen to agree with. I am fine with that.

I'm fine with citing wikipedia as well. Go for it!
