Pre-Session Objectives

PRIOR TO arriving at the session, participants should be able to

  1. Have a general understanding of the risk factors associated with Erectile Dysfunction
  2. Know two different classes of medications used in the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction and list one medication in each class


Preparation for the session

  1. Read corresponding chapter in Therapeutic Choices about Male Sexual Dysfunction


By the end of the session, and upon study and reflection, students should be able to

  1. Discuss the common causes of erectile dysfunction
  2. Identify medications that can lead to erectile dysfunction
  3. List therapies to treat erectile dysfunction and be able to discuss them in terms of: mechanism of action, adverse effects, drug interactions & contraindications, clinical efficacy and patient counselling
