Course:MECH598-698 Applied Mechanics/Syllabus
Course Objectives
- Prepare and Practice technical presentations
- Cultivate research community and culture in applied mechanics
- Develop research writing skills required for a proposal, journal article and thesis.
- Critically assess the form and content of a research presentation
- Evaluate presentation and ask insightful questions (apply critical thinking skills)
Course Format
- Meet every alternate Wednesday at 1pm in SCRF1005 for a research seminar by a graduate student, faculty/visiting faculty.
- Graduate students will develop research proposal/report and submit to their supervisor towards the end of each term for assessment.
