According to the UBC Vancouver Calendar 2010/11, the course covers "analytic geometry in 2 and 3 dimensions, partial and directional derivatives, chain rule, maxima and minima, second derivative test, Lagrange multipliers, multiple integrals with applications." The typical texts are Calculus, Early Transcendentals, or Multivariable Calculus 6th edition by James Stewart.
