Does globalization make religious events less religious?

There are many religious events in the world. Some of them are peculiar to specific religions, but some of them are common ones in several religions.

Since the globalization is processing rapidly today, we can share some events from other religions.

One of the examples of them is 'Christmas'.

Christmas is originally the religious event from Christianity. However, not only Christians, but also many of those who are not Christians celebrate Christmas today.

This is weird phenomenon caused by globalization, because Christmas is no more religious event, but just one of the events in that case.

So how globalization affects such religious events? Does religious events become less religious due to globalization?

My first Christmas in Canada

I spent Christmas with my Canadian host family.

Their house, not only inside, but also outside was decorated colorfully.
