             Dear Sir
                     Your favor of the
5th inst came to hand.  Contents
noted.  In regard to the matting if
you have not purchased I wish
you would let it pass as [here] has
Several lots arrived & the Season
is most over.  Goods are plenty & 
business dull.  Keep my card of
business in the paper for say 
another quarter   leave out the cash
advances or insert it with the other

Description: This letter to Royal Fisk was written by J.A. McCrea in Victoria, Vancouver Island on July 12, 1862.  McCrea canceled an order for matting, said he had plenty of goods, indicated business is slow, and asked Fisk to keep his business card in the paper.
