General Workshop Module Information

IEP Workshop Modules Winter Session 2012
IEP Workshop modules and classes are for ALL students studying in the IEP at the ELI. The purpose of these workshops is to help you improve your English in specific areas such as pronunciation, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, writing, conversation and test-taking. You can choose different modules or classes to meet your needs and interests. The workshops are a valuable and enjoyable complement to your IEP curriculum.

  • Most workshops are organized in modules of two to three classes; some workshops are single classes
  • If you have signed up for a workshop module, you should attend all workshops in the module.
  • You cannot join a module that has already begun.
  • Attendance will be taken.
  • Workshops are divided into three levels. Beginner 100-200: Intermediate 300-400; Advanced 500-600. If the workshop name indicates a level, you must be at that level to enter that workshop.
  • Every time you attend a workshop and fill out your lottery slip, your name is entered into a draw. The winners are announced at the End-of-Session Gathering on Thursday of Week 16.
  • Always confirm your workshop choices with the latest workshop schedule on the bulletin board outside Admin on the main floor. Check regularly too for special workshop classes or modules.
  • Sign-up sheets are put up on the bulletin board outside Admin on Mondays. Enrollment is limited. Sign up early.
  • Workshop topics are selected based on student input. So please fill out the workshop class or module Feedback Sheet.
