First CHECK THE CATALOGUE!
1. Does the catalogue indicate that the book has been signed out?
If a book has been borrowed by someone else, you should see a Due Date. If you want to be the next person to borrow the book, you can recall the book by clicking on the Request this item link on the right side of the record.
2. Does the catalogue say that the book is "On loan and has a Request"?
This means that someone else has already placed a request on the book, and he/she is next in line.
3. Does the catalogue say that the book is "In Transit"?
Usually this means that the book was returned to another library, and now it is on its way back to the home library, e.g. Woodward. In this case, check again the next day.
