Please put the names of your group members into one of the tables below.  Next to &amp;quot;TOPIC&amp;quot; put what the video will be about.  Next to &amp;quot;CLIENT (Option 1 only)&amp;quot; tell me who you&#039;ll be making the video for (i.e. Who is your client?). If you have chosen Option 2, you will leave this field blank. If you need more lines in your group&#039;s table, you&#039;ll see arrows on the top and left of the table. Click on the left arrow and insert a line. If you don&#039;t have a group and want to sign up and simply see who else signs up with you, that works too. &lt;br /&gt;

Note that each group should have between 3 and 5 members. With 24 people in the class, groups of three will mean 8 groups.  Groups of four will mean 6 groups.  Groups of five will mean 5 groups (one of which will be a group of 4). I have included space for 8 groups, but don&#039;t feel you have to fill all the tables.  If we don&#039;t need the 8th group, or the 7th, just leave them blank.    &lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;&#039;Topic choice:&#039;&#039;&#039;    &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you choose &#039;&#039;&#039;Option 1&#039;&#039;&#039;, please be sure that your topic revolves around what &amp;lt;u&amp;gt;the client&amp;lt;/u&amp;gt; wants. If you have a suggestion for them about a tutorial you think would work, that&#039;s great - you can make that suggestion - but be sure to give way if they don&#039;t want to do that and have another project in mind for you.  Also (&#039;&#039;&#039;VERY IMPORTANT&#039;&#039;&#039;), &amp;lt;u&amp;gt;please do not begin work&amp;lt;/u&amp;gt; on your project until you&#039;ve checked with Fiona. Sometimes a site will want something done that is a valid project but not appropriate for our course.  Please check with Fiona first, and once she has given the &amp;quot;okay&amp;quot;, you can begin working on it.      &lt;br /&gt;

If you choose &#039;&#039;&#039;Option 2&#039;&#039;&#039;, please be sure to check with Fiona before beginning work on your project, to ensure that the scope of what you&#039;re proposing is appropriate and meets the assignment requirements.        &lt;br /&gt;

Note that &#039;&#039;&#039;Out on the Shelves&#039;&#039;&#039; is a client students have worked with in the past that will likely be happy to have more work done by this class as they are entirely dependent on volunteers.  Also, &#039;&#039;&#039;Mission Archives&#039;&#039;&#039; and &#039;&#039;&#039;Surrey Public Library&#039;s Genealogy Department&#039;&#039;&#039; and &#039;&#039;&#039;BCLA&#039;&#039;&#039; have all expressed interest in having a student group work with them again this semester, if any of those appeal to you. The Van Dusen Gardens library has requested a group to work on a tutorial about using the LCC call numbers in their collection.  Other libraries we&#039;ve used include &#039;&#039;&#039;West Vancouver Memorial Library,&#039;&#039;&#039; and various &#039;&#039;&#039;UBC Library branches&#039;&#039;&#039;.  If you have a job at a library, that might be a good place to start as they may want some work done.  If you&#039;re having trouble coming up with a client, please let me know and I may be able to assist.  Ideally, you want to get started on this project sooner rather than later.         &lt;br /&gt;

Should anything be amiss with the above classrooms, we have two backup rooms, as noted above, that we can use if we need to.&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;&#039;Equipment needed:&#039;&#039;&#039;&lt;br /&gt;

For your lesson, you may need an &#039;&#039;&#039;adaptor&#039;&#039;&#039; for the projector (Fiona has one she can lend if you have a mac).  The port needed is HDMI or VGA.        &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We will be recording the lessons, and Fiona has booked the two &#039;&#039;&#039;camcorders&#039;&#039;&#039; that SLAIS owns, as well as two &#039;&#039;&#039;tripods&#039;&#039;&#039;.  However, if you don&#039;t want to use those, or you don&#039;t get one (there are only two recorders), you will need to have an alternate means to record your lesson. I also want each student to have a &#039;&#039;&#039;backup device&#039;&#039;&#039; for recording (can be a phone, a peer&#039;s computer, etc.) in case the main recording fails (as has happened in the past). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you want to use Fiona&#039;s &#039;&#039;&#039;white board markers&#039;&#039;&#039;, please let her know.  You can also borrow her &#039;&#039;&#039;portable white boards&#039;&#039;&#039; if you like - be sure to give her advanced notice as she doesn&#039;t always bring them with her.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

For your lesson, you may need an &#039;&#039;&#039;adaptor&#039;&#039;&#039; for the projector (Fiona has one she can lend if you have a mac).  The port needed is HDMI or VGA.        &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We will be recording the lessons, and Fiona has booked the two &#039;&#039;&#039;camcorders&#039;&#039;&#039; that SLAIS owns, as well as two &#039;&#039;&#039;tripods&#039;&#039;&#039;.  However, if you don&#039;t want to use those, or you don&#039;t get one (there are only two recorders), you will need to have an alternate means to record your lesson. I also want each student to have a &#039;&#039;&#039;backup device&#039;&#039;&#039; for recording (can be a phone, a peer&#039;s computer, etc.) in case the main recording fails (as has happened in the past). &lt;br /&gt;

If you want to use Fiona&#039;s &#039;&#039;&#039;white board markers&#039;&#039;&#039;, please let her know.  You can also borrow her &#039;&#039;&#039;portable white boards&#039;&#039;&#039; if you like - be sure to give her advanced notice as she doesn&#039;t always bring them with her.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
