Library:Scholarly Communications/What is Scholarly Communications
Scholarly communications may include both traditional forms of publication, such as academic journals, as well as new and informal channels, such as scholarly social networks and online sharing of research. Bianca Kramer and Jeroem Bosman from Utrecht University Library have done extensive research on emerging scholarly communications tools and processes, many of which are outlined in the image below. At UBC Scholarly Communications, we are here to help UBC researchers at all levels make best use of these tools for your individual needs and disciplines. We are also here to help you navigate through issues related to grant funding requirements related to Open Access and we will also work with you to ensure that your author rights are protected.
