Chenyi Wang (Cher)
Hello, my name is Chenyi Wang, and you can call me Cher. I am from China and I am a student of Vantage Arts. I am very interested in current affairs politics. To talk about the further development of the country and even the world, what we cannot ignore is the issue of sustainable development. Living in an information age, consumer electronics are already commonplace. However, people’s awareness of green electronic consumption and their habits and attitudes towards the disposal of waste electronic products still require further study. That’s also why we conducted this research.
Bingchen Wang (Sherlock)
Hi, My name is Sherlock and I'm a member of Group 7 in Vant 149 Project. This summer, my team and I are conducting a study on sustainable development. Our main research direction is the treatment of electronic waste, which is closely related to our life and the environment. If you are confused about the recycling of e-waste, I believe you can find the answer from our research. Overall, I hope we can present a perfect research result to you guys.
Chenxi Feng (Roxy)
Hi there, my name is Roxy and sometimes my friends called me roro, just a nickname. I’m Chinese and now as a student in Vantage college, also a member of Group 7 in VANT 149. We had a lot of interest on current marketing transformation and consumption situation, which linked with our daily life. Sustainable development is significant for contemporary society, everyone will have different opinions about it. Someone may not so clear about this statement, our research will help you a lot.
Pengfei Li (Jerry)
Hi, I’m. I come from China. I am a Vantage student and as a member of group 7 in Vant 149 as well. My biggest hobby is fishing, because I think this is a good way to get close to nature. I like the sea, blue sky, forest and various animals. Therefore, the theme chosen by our group in the course is about sustainable development. I think people should reduce pollution to the environment and focus on sustainable development. Because sustainable development not only affects our living environment but also affects our future generations.
Ziyuan Guo (Jacob)
My name is Ziyuan Guo and you can call me Jacob. I am from China and now I am a member of Group 7 in VANT149. We are interested in the consumption field of electronic products and we found many young people’s bills keep rising as they rapidly upgrade their electronic gear. It is significant for us to have the idea of green consumption, and green consumerism can solve several kinds of problems most relates to sustainability and ecology.
Introduction
Electronic products bring convenience to people’s lives, but also invisible challenges to the environment.
Therefore, our research question is: what are Vantage students’ electronics purchasing habits, and awareness of e-waste disposal? Marketing promotion and the availability and price of commodities are important, but with the development of the times, consumers' environmental awareness in electronic products is also worthy of our attention.
We hope that everyone can participate our presentation together and care about the sustainable development issues in our lives!
