Yixuan Wu (Vantage program student)

Hi, my name is Yixuan, my friends usually call me Jennie. I am a 19-year-old girl who comes from China. In my spare time, I like to read novels because I think reading could expand my knowledge. Also, I love to travel, travel can broaden my horizons, and meanwhile, allow me to experience and integrate local folk customs. Travel experiences I had when I was in high school helped me to realize the importance of sustainable development. Every place has its own characteristics. We should protect the original heritage.

Jinshuo Liu (Vantage program student)

Hi, my name is Jinshuo, my friends usually call me Taeny. I am a 19-year girl who comes from Zhejiang, China. There are two things that have great meanings to me. The first one is dance. I started to dance when I was only three years old, and it is always the best way for me to boost my mood and decrease the anxiety. The other one is travel. My ultimate goal of life is to travel around the world and find the original meaning of life. As I travelled across the world over the years, I found out that the negative effects on the local environment that brought by the development of the tourism industry are visible. It becomes important for us to put the emphasis on sustainable tourism.

Zhiqing Li (Vantage program student)

Hi, my name is Zhiqing, my friends usually call me Kristina. I am a 19-year-old girl from Guangzhou, China. I love my hometown, which is a city with high-rise buildings and historic sites. Before I came to Canada, I used to travel with my family, not only because I wanted to stay with my family members, but also because traveling could enrich my knowledge. However, as I grew older, I found that many precious landscapes had been destroyed and commercialized. It made me realize the importance of sustainable tourism, so I encourage everyone to take care of the scenery around the world and try to preserve what history has left us.
