Researcher 1: Yuchi Jin
Hi, everyone. I’m Cindy, one of the Vantage Arts students who is an environmentalist and photograph fan. I really enjoy taking the pictures recording the scenery along the way during traveling. Once, on a drive to the countryside, I found that large areas of the fields had become dry, and even cracks appeared. Local farmers say the area is no longer arable. Thus, I developed this research with interested fellows to research how improve China's agricultural development by solving China's agricultural problems.
Researcher 2: Yujia Zhao
Hi everyone, I’m Rachel from Vantage College Art Stream. I like traveling, especially to the coastal cities and beautiful islands around the world. I’m also interested in agriculture sustainability, like my other three friends in this group. I remember when I have the geography class in high school when I was impressed by the farming practice situation and agriculture sustainable nowadays in China. I was shocked but wants to research in it further. Therefore, I join this research to further explore solutions and challenge China face for achieving sustainable agriculture under green policy.
Researcher 3: Derong Si
Hi, I'm Gloria. I come from China and am now a student at Vantage Arts. Since high school, I have been interested in biology and geography. In my hometown, due to less rainfall and dry climate, the problem of land desertification is increasingly prominent. This has seriously affected the planting and growth of crops and is harmful to the sustainable development of agriculture. Therefore, I with other students in the college who are also interested in this phenomenon carried out this research to jointly think about how to solve the problems encountered in China's agricultural development at the present stage
Researcher 4: Yutong Xin
Hi, I’m Shirley from vantage arts program. I started to pay attention on the environmental and biological problems since high school. I have learned about the dropped food quality caused by the soil erosion and the diseases caused by the air pollution. I once did a project about the pollution in my city. I found out the closer you are to downtown, the worse the environment will be, and the far side will be much better. therefore, I would like to learn more about this topic and have better understanding on it.
Introduction to our project
The main purpose of this study is to explore what challenges and solutions farming pratice facing in China, under the green (development) policy. The interaction on farming prarctice and green policy is significant for investigating in this reserach. In order to further present our research we did in the previous several months, we create a poster for illustrating.
