For the second question, are there multiple factors that can influence the soil development in the given examples?

Answer (by Maja) - One could argue that since any soil is developed under the influence of all 5 factors of soil formation, that as answer to this question #2, all factors could be listed. However, that was not what we are asking, but to tell us which of the 5 formation factors is emphasized by each sentence in this question. And we are looking for just one factor of soil formation to be specified as the answer.

Also in the third question, I am not sure about a couple things. in the "bulk density" part of the table, does it mean "g/m^(-3)"? Regarding "water content", are the units, cm^3, cm^(-3), or cm^3/cm^(-3)? Thanks!

When units are written as cm3/cm3 that is the same as cm3 cm-3
Units for bulk density are g/cm3 (ie as given in the question) ......not kg/cm3
At http://wiki.ubc.ca/Course:APBI200/Lab_Assignments there is a file with hints for unit conversion that might be helpful
