Installing the StudyMate Client

Please follow the instructions and illustrations on how to install and configure the StudyMate client software for your computer.

1. Close all applications before beginning installation, in particular any word processor programs.
2. Double click StudyMateCampus.exe to open Winzip Self Extractor.
   • Specify a directory to save temporary setup files.
   • Make sure Overwrite Files Without Prompting and When Done Open Setup.exe are selected.
   • Click Unzip to create setup files.

3. Follow the setup instructions.
4. Start the StudyMate Campuswide program.
5. Fill in the requested fields with the following information and then press License:
   • Institution Name: University of British Columbia
   • Local Support Contact(s): Vista Admin: vista-admin@it.ubc.ca
   • Installation Password: <check your confirmation e-mail> >

Publish to WebCT Vista - How to Setup the WebCT Vista Server

1. When Publishing, choose CMS Personality: WebCT 4.x

2. Fill in the WebCT Server Information as shown below. User Name and Password correspond to your Utility ID, which is provided in your confirmation e-mail. Ensure that you select Login is "https:" but other pages "http". Keep server port as 80.

3. Choose Secure Login Port Number 443.
