13 Days:

What we want/like:

- independent study days
- one reading day (inquiry of finding texts/resources and sharing them) followed by a sharing texts day or days
- recommended readings on syllabus: perhaps jigsaw or each person reads one and recommends or summarizes
- documentary day (screen an inspiring documentary)
- reading/reviewing/helping each other with our unit plans for the long practicum (groups share their unit plans and critique them) 3 classes
- trying out activities with class that we would want to use in our practicum 2-3 classes
- helping each other with rubrics, handouts, ect. 1 class
- short (5 minutes presentation, 10 minutes discussion) oral presentations with peer feedback/discussion afterwards: presentations on one challenge we will face in the upcoming practicum and how we will overcome it.
- guest speaker(s): previous student teacher(s) who excelled in their practicums

What we don't want/like:

- written paper because it is not collaborative and it does not benefit our classmates
- teacher-fronted instruction
