Every WordPress Documentation page should be added to a single, specific category. The overall category structure should be kept fairly simple.

Category Hierarchy

The following categorization hierarchy should be used:

  • WordPress
    • UBC Blogs
    • UBC CMS
      • CLF
    • WordPress Training

Explanation

WordPress: Add the page to this category if the topic can apply to both UBC Blogs and UBC CMS, or if it is about WordPress in general. Example: Adding Images to a Post

UBC Blogs: Subcategory of WordPress. Add this category to a page if the topic only applies to UBC Blogs. Example: Groups

UBC CMS: Subcategory of WordPress. Add this category to a page if the topic only applies to UBC CMS. Example: Wiki Embed Plugin.

CLF: Subcategory of UBC CMS. Add this category to a page if the topic only applies to the Advanced UBC CLF theme. Example: Advanced CLF Theme Options.

WordPress Training: Subcategory of WordPress. Add this category to a page that has been built out for a specific training or WordPress session.
