Grade Center download file only contains "in progress" or "needs grading" instead of student grade

If you view the Connect Grade Center and there are tests for which students have submitted multiple attempts, and some of those attempts are still "in progress," Connect will display the grade for those attempts which the students have submitted and an "in progress" icon to indicate they also have attempts which have not been submitted. If you download the Grade Center in this situation, the resulting file will only contain "in progress" for those students that have submitted multiple attempts of the test and not their grade as listed in the Grade Center. The same situation will occur if students have submitted multiple attempts and some attempts have been fully graded but some still need grading (indicated by a green exclamation mark icon). In this case, the downloaded file will only list "needs grading" for the student(s) in question.

Create a Calculated "Total" column for each test column in the Grade Center for which students have multiple attempts, some of which are in progress or still need grading. Configure the "Total" column to total just the single quiz in question. When you download the Connect Grade Center, these "Total" columns will contain all students' numerical grades, even if some of their attempts are in progress or still need grading.
