For the word 'canine' the graph is stable from 1800 to 2000. c) The effect is straightforward, the word 'canine' is mostly used in scientific books and the word 'dog' is more simple and recognizable. d) There is no intersection of these two graphs, so they are developing independently. 'Canine' is almost the same all the time. There are some fluctuations for 'dog' possibly because of change in people' preferences in pets and etc.
